Increase Your Visibility With a Round LED Headlight

Increase Your Visibility With a Round LED Headlight

When it comes to a vehicle’s safety, visibility is paramount. One of the best ways to increase your visibility at night is by upgrading your headlights.

The Holley RetroBright offers a direct-fit replacement for your factory 7” round OE headlights and features heated polycarbonate lenses that prevent ice, snow, and fog buildup. It also includes OEM connectors for plug-and-play installation.

Product Overview

Upgrade your standard 5-3/4 inch halogen sealed beam headlights to the powerful LEDs in these DOT-compliant, plug-and-play, direct replacement bulbs. The light output is increased while reducing power draw and vibration. This combination allows the LED headlights to last many times longer than a traditional bulb and provides a much wider pattern of light for improved visibility on and off road.

These lights are a perfect fit for vehicles with factory 7” round headlights including classic cars, Jeeps and trucks. The combination of modern LED technology seamlessly blends with the classic sealed beam look. This makes it easy to Led Driving Light Manufacturers install and a perfect way to make any vehicle stand out from the crowd.

Each LED headlight has a low beam and high beam that is optimized for your driving needs. The light also has a built in heated lens that melts snow and ice automatically as the temperatures drop. The electronics are encapsulated in epoxy to protect against shock and vibration and they are designed to be as durable as the rest of your vehicle.

Each Vision X VX Series LED headlight is DOT compliant and SAE approved and comes with the mounting kit for easy installation. There are multiple models available to fit most vehicles with a 7” factory headlight including CANBUS vehicles (requires the 701-491 anti-flicker harness). The FireTech 7” round LED Headlights have a dual function of both low and high beam, an elliptical flood pattern for superior light coverage and a built in halo ring park lamp.

Technology

Unlike the tungsten filament bulbs that used in traditional sealed beam headlamps, LED technology allows for more features to be built into the headlight. Sealed beam LED headlights typically contain multiple LED modules for high and low beams, drl and turn signals. They are arranged on a metal-core printed circuit board (MCPCB) which has secondary optics fitted to control the light emitted by each individual LED.

The LED module’s integrated driver circuits provide a regulated current to drive the LED load over a wide operating voltage range. To do this, they utilize buck-boost topology and must be engineered to handle the high temperatures and vibrations that can occur during operation.

LEDs also have the ability to convert a much higher percentage of electrical energy into visible light than previous technologies. This helps reduce the amount of power that your vehicle’s system must consume, which helps to lower fuel consumption and lessens strain on your battery and alternator.

These 7″ Round LED Headlight offer a combination of both flood and spot beam patterns to illuminate a wider area, increasing visibility and safety on the road. They come with a high-powered CREE diode technology to offer brighter lights and an authentic glass lens that maintains a quality look and feel. They can be installed easily on your OE headlamp assembly to improve the visibility of your vehicle at night.

Advantages

One of the most important features on a vehicle is its visibility. It is estimated that sight accounts for 90% of a driver’s ability to detect road hazards and make decisions. This is why having a high-quality set of headlights is so critical. LED headlights deliver a crisp, clean, bright white light that effectively turns night into day and increases your safety on the road.

The color temperature of a headlight is also important to consider when comparing options. Traditional halogen headlights have a blueish hue that can cause glare for oncoming drivers and can cause your eyes to tire quickly at night. On the other hand, LED headlights have a more natural, sunlight-like color that is easier on the eyes and helps you stay awake and focused on the road.

Adding LED lights to your emergency vehicle will not only improve its efficiency, but it will increase the usable light output of the entire front of your vehicle. This is possible because of the integrated elliptical beam that provides light from the bumper to just above where your low beams kick in.

These LED upgrades from Trucklite feature complex reflector optics to optimize and distribute the light evenly for a superior look and performance. They are designed to replace most 7″ round OE sealed beam headlamps and work great in Jeep JK, TJ and CJ vehicles. Each light produces 32,000 candela for the low beam and 53,000 candela for the high beam, which is significantly brighter than your stock headlights.

Usage

One of the most important things a driver can do at night is to see where they’re going. A well-designed light beam pattern can help drivers react to oncoming traffic, preventing accidents and dangerous situations. LED headlights provide brighter light than halogen bulbs, allowing Round LED Headlight drivers to see more of the road. However, if the headlight assembly isn’t designed with LED technology in mind, it may broadcast a solid wall of light and blind people in the immediate area.

To produce a proper light beam pattern, the LED bulb should have quality LED chips and a large enough heat sink to pull away excess energy from the chip. The best chip options include Cree, COB, CSP, ZES, and ETI FC (flip-chip).

The power source of an LED headlight is also a crucial factor to consider. A good choice is a regulated DC power source. If the bulb is powered by AC, it will flicker or cause other issues that can be frustrating and potentially dangerous. It’s also a good idea to choose LED bulbs that use waterproof type connectors. This helps prevent corrosion and provides a more reliable connection.
